About Croatian House
Built here. Held open. Croatian House is a place for Brisbane to gather, with Croatian roots, three distinct spaces and one team behind every event. Weddings, working days, cultural celebrations, farewells and family occasions all belong under the same roof.
A place with history
Croatian House grew from Brisbane's Croatian community, which has gathered since 1952. Families a long way from where they began wanted a place to mark a wedding, farewell a life, pass on their language and share the food they knew. They made that place together.
The founding members’ names remain on the wall of Founders’ Foyer. Guests pass them on the way into today's weddings, conferences, cultural days and family occasions, connecting every new gathering to the people who first opened the doors.

Built for gathering
The house now carries weddings, christenings, conferences, training days, cultural events, school formals, performances, wakes and long lunches. A room for sixty, a covered-patio setting or a banquet for six hundred all belong to the same place.
One house, one team
Croatian House caters and pours its own. The kitchen, bar, staff and room come together in one booking, with menus developed around the occasion. Hosts have one team to speak with before the event and one team in the building when doors open.
That standard is practical: the room is checked, service is close by and the people who can solve a problem are already there.
The spaces
From an intimate room for sixty to a banquet for six hundred, each space has a distinct role. Book one or pair spaces together, with the same Croatian House team running throughout.
What guides the house
Croatian heritage stays visible in the foyer, in the food and in the way the house continues to gather people.
A room is walked before doors open. Glasses, linen, temperature, sound and every chair are checked by the team running the event.
The name on the door is Croatian. The occasions held inside belong to families, organisations and communities from across Brisbane.
